Announcing Physics AI DevDay 2026

10.20.2026

San Mateo, CA

Physics AI research and innovation are advancing quickly, with new ideas emerging alongside early engineering applications. Across aerospace, defense, automotive, and semiconductor, teams are exploring how Large Physics Models (LPMs) can help engineers evaluate designs faster and consider more alternatives within the same development timeline.

On November 17, Luminary is hosting Physics AI DevDay 2026, a virtual event built for the engineers, engineering leaders, and technical teams working at the frontier of this shift. It runs from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM PT, and it is the first DevDay dedicated entirely to Physics AI.

What to Expect

The day opens at 9:00 AM PT with a keynote on building the future of Physics AI. It explores the research advancing four interconnected frontiers: data, intelligence, automation, and trust. Together, breakthroughs across these areas can enable continuously learning systems that expand what’s possible in engineering.

From there, we’ll dive into technical sessions to discuss the challenges that are being addressed in each of these areas:

  • Data: Physics AI needs high-quality, diverse training data to learn the physics impacting the behavior of real engineering systems.
  • Foundation: Models need to represent complex geometries and physics to address real-world engineering problems.
  • Reasoning: Agents need to reason through complex engineering workflows so engineers can delegate time-consuming model development tasks without directing every step.
  • Trust: Engineers need to understand a prediction’s reliability and limitations before using it to guide a decision.
  • Closing the Loop: Models need to learn from new evidence to improve as engineering needs evolve.

Hands-On Workshop: From Zero to LPM in 90 Minutes

Then we put the ideas to work. From 1:00 to 2:30 PM PT, an optional, guided workshop takes you through the process of building and deploying a Large Physics Model from scratch. It’s a chance to connect the dots yourself and leave with hands-on experience.

Who Should Attend

Physics AI DevDay is built for engineers, researchers, and technical leaders who want to understand how AI could help them explore designs, accelerate discovery, and tackle complex engineering challenges. Whether you’re new to Physics AI or already experimenting with it, join us to explore the latest research and connect the ideas to your own work.
